Officials announced during a high-level session led by Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon that Karachi will take delivery of a fresh batch of electric and double-decker buses next month.

Sharjeel instructed staff members to finish all required preparations to roll out fresh routes for the incoming vehicles.

Current transit initiatives, such as building the Red Line and Yellow Line Bus Rapid Transit networks, were evaluated during the session. Participants also talked about linking the BRT corridors and setting up paths for the upcoming electric and double-decker buses.

Transport Secretary Asad Zamin, Trans Karachi CEO Zubair Channa, Yellow Line Project Director Kamal Dayo, Sindh Mass Transit Authority Managing Director Behzad Memon, and other officials participated in the gathering.

Sharjeel stated that linking various BRT corridors would simplify travel for commuters. He noted that constructing BRT facilities by itself is not enough if the routes lack proper connections.

The minister highlighted the necessity of combining transit services to boost travel links and ease public mobility for local commuters in Karachi.
