Punjab University has communicated with the Higher Education Commission and the Speaker of the Punjab Assembly regarding its choice to bring back private MA and BA tests.

A resolution supporting the return of private BA and MA exams was approved by the Punjab University Syndicate, the registrar stated.

Shutting down these courses cut off higher education access for a major portion of the public, the correspondence points out.

Private tests acted as an essential route to university education for residents of distant and countryside locations, according to the resolution, and employed students maintained their education via these courses.

The Punjab Assembly received a request from Syndicate members asking for authorization to restart private MA and BA testing.

Two years back, the Higher Education Commission instituted a prohibition on private BA and MA degree courses.
