Lahore Traffic Police started a two-day free scooter driving training programme to empower female students and build their self-reliance.

Chief Traffic Officer Syed Abdul Rahim Sheerazi stated that female students can get free instruction at five city driving schools, and all officers in charge received orders to conduct complimentary training sessions.

Educational institutions such as schools and colleges may also reach out to traffic authorities to coordinate specialized training classes.

Training facilities for scooters operate at Liberty, Greater Iqbal Park, LOS Ferozepur Road, and Manawan, alongside an ongoing women driving course at LOS Ferozepur Road.

Authorities also set up dedicated Gen Z counters across every center to assist female students.

The CTO explained that professional instructors will teach practical scooter riding, safe driving techniques, and traffic laws during the two-day course.

He noted that authorities issued more than two lakh driving licences to motorcyclists this year and implemented special steps to protect female motorists on local roads.
