LinkedIn has rolled out a fresh digital business card tool globally, enabling members to create personalized cards and exchange profile details face-to-face. Last week, the company previewed this functionality at the "Connection by Design" event before beginning its worldwide release.

These cards feature a person's photograph, professional title, and a scannable QR code directing people straight to their LinkedIn account. Members can pick from multiple design templates to customize the appearance. Finished cards are also compatible with phone digital wallets for fast retrieval during networking gatherings.

This release expands upon a simpler QR code function that LinkedIn debuted back in 2018. That initial iteration offered zero personalization choices and failed to attract widespread adoption. The updated utility introduces styling flexibility and wallet support to simplify physical networking.

Linkedin just launched Business Cards. You can modify them to add your personality and add it to your apple wallet. People can scan it and add it to their virtual wallet to connect later. Test networking.

Alongside the business cards, LinkedIn revealed several other updates. Premium members can now attach private notes to profiles belonging to other individuals. This assists people in recalling specifics such as meeting locations. Testing is also underway for a dedicated "Network" feed in the US, UK, India, and Australia, which displays updates exclusively from connections and followed accounts while removing viral posts from unknown users.

At the same time, LinkedIn rolled out a fresh creator dashboard to handle publications and monitor metrics. In-Stream Ads are also undergoing tests with chosen US advertisers and creators for video content, enabling creators to generate direct income from videos posted on the site.

Data shared by the firm indicates that founders using LinkedIn grew 70% over recent years. Members displaying multiple job roles have likewise climbed 26% since 2019. LinkedIn stated its objective is assisting members in transforming these connections into tangible opportunities.
