Islamabad Traffic Police have announced traffic diversions at several locations along the Srinagar Highway and Express Highway because cricket teams are moving through the city.

A traffic advisory from the police says diversions will be set up at various points on Srinagar Highway between Serena Chowk and Ninth Avenue.

Drivers on Srinagar Highway are told to use Suhrawardy Road and the service roads in G-8 and G-9. Traffic bound for Zero Point and Faizabad should shift to Faisal Avenue, and those on Ninth Avenue are to take Service Road East.

People travelling from Koral toward Islamabad are advised to follow the Old Airport route, Rawal Road, Rawalpindi Murree Road and I.J.P. Road to reach Faqir Aipee Road.

If Koral Express Highway, Murree Road or Club Road close, motorists can use Lehtrar Road and Park Road as alternatives.

Those leaving Islamabad are directed to use Jinnah Avenue and Margalla Road, while entrants from Bhara Kahu should go via Bani Gala and Park Road.

Police warned that congestion could rise on major roads during the diversions and asked commuters to add 20 to 25 minutes to their trips.

Traffic officers will stay on duty to help drivers, and citizens are urged to follow Islamabad Police's official social media for updates.
