The National Database and Registration Authority issued a warning to overseas Pakistanis on restricting their personal details from unauthorized people or entities pretending to speak for the authority.
The authority stated that no authorized dealers, consultants, or agents exist to handle identity papers or file online requests for them.
Expatriates can use services by visiting NADRA Registration Centers and designated counters set up inside Pakistani embassies overseas, with a directory posted on the official website.
Citizens living abroad may also submit requests for their first National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis via the Pak ID mobile app by entering personal and family data, uploading files, finishing biometric checks, and paying the fee.
Users can follow their submissions inside the application, though the authority might ask for extra paperwork or a physical visit if digital confirmation fails.
The agency noted that internet services run solely through the Pak ID application and authorized websites ending in gov.pk.
Officials advised expatriates to stay vigilant and refrain from giving private data to anyone falsely stating a connection to NADRA.
