The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) arrested 42 individuals during raids on three firms in Karachi's Rabia City, citing accusations of online pornographic animations and deceptive social media practices.
The agency's Karachi Zone focused on businesses said to be creating, promoting and marketing sexually explicit cartoon animations, pornographic digital material and other digital design services to overseas clients.
Company owners and staff were taken into custody, and investigators confiscated 41 mobile phones for technical and forensic review.
Officials indicated that early intelligence points to the firms operating via organized online teams. These agents reportedly reached foreign customers on platforms such as Instagram and X, formerly Twitter.
Investigators claim the agents set up multiple accounts using false identities, women's names and fabricated profiles to lure international business.
Through those profiles, they advertised services including logo design, banners, digital illustrations, animations and sexually explicit cartoon content.
Authorities said they are probing claims that agents employed misleading identities to secure orders for pornographic animations from abroad.
Fida Hussain was identified as the owner of one company that had been active for about two years, offering online logo and banner design along with other digital artwork to foreign clients. Officers seized 19 mobile phones from this business.
A second firm, allegedly owned by a man named Danish and employing four staff members, mainly promoted and sold logo and banner design services online to overseas customers. Investigators took five mobile phones from its location.
The third company, reportedly run by Mohsin and Ehsan, employed 17 staff and provided digital design, animation and online content services for international markets. Officers recovered 17 mobile phones there.
NCCIA officials said the seized phones were taken into custody to determine the scope and nature of the suspected activities.
Investigators continue to examine social media accounts, digital communications, alleged pornographic animations and other electronic evidence.
