Pakistan conglomerate Nishat Group and electric vehicle maker LUXEED finalized a strategic partnership in Wuhu, bringing together their assets to establish the LUXEED brand locally and expand the nation's new energy transport sector through local synergy. Top executives from both corporations attended the official signing event.
Nishat Group: A group that has shaped Pakistan's economy
Operating as a major force in the Pakistani private sector, Nishat Group maintains extensive involvement in banking, textiles, power, cement, insurance, and agriculture. Throughout the years, the organization has established a strong standing for disciplined operations and capital investments, backed by a diversified network connecting manufacturing, energy, and finance.
The corporation demonstrates this market presence in the automotive industry through NexGen Auto, which launched OMODA & JAECOO in August 2025 following a USD 100 million commitment and a local assembly plant in Faisalabad. Driven by strong dealership support and customer care, the brand surpassed 15,000 vehicle handovers during its first year. Furthermore, NexGen Auto recently unveiled iCAUR alongside Chery Group at PAPS 2026.
This new alliance with LUXEED International represents an expansion into high-end electric mobility. By integrating advanced innovations, Nishat Group intends to encourage eco-friendly changes within the domestic automotive sector.
What LUXEED brings
Modern buyers increasingly seek smart technology and authentic driving experiences rather than traditional luxury symbols. Responding to international consumer trends, LUXEED centers its identity on three core elements known as Intelligence, Luxury, and Driving Pleasure, summarized by the slogan "I DRIVE, YOU ENJOY."
Developed jointly by Chery and Huawei, LUXEED functions within Huawei's Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance. While Chery oversees vehicle production, Huawei provides its HarmonyOS cockpit, Qiankun ADS driver assistance systems, and digital driving components.
During its international brand launch in Wuhu on 21st October, LUXEED demonstrated these qualities, highlighting driving freedom, safety, and user-focused smart technology.
Chery Group's global strength
Backed by Chery Group, LUXEED benefits from a parent company that has led Chinese passenger car exports for 23 straight years and surpassed 20 million total global sales. The manufacturer provides a robust operational foundation through its research network and production experience, which Pakistani buyers already recognize via the OMODA & JAECOO and iCAUR lineups introduced by Nishat Group over the past 12 months.
What it means for Pakistan
While local demand for new energy vehicles continues to rise, buyers seeking advanced technology options have faced restricted choices. The agreement between Nishat Group and LUXEED seeks to address this gap by establishing comprehensive product and service networks backed by reliable local support.
The collaboration introduces smart and environmentally friendly transport options for local drivers while contributing to national development. Nishat Group will share specific vehicle models, technical specifications, prices, and launch dates at a future date.
