Consumer electronics brand Nothing is reportedly expanding its hardware catalog beyond headphones, smartphones, and speakers by developing two distinct pairs of smart glasses, according to industry tipster Roland Quandt.

One of the upcoming devices will carry integrated cameras and advanced capabilities, while the second version will center entirely on audio functionality.

Camera Model Could Include ChatGPT

The higher-end variant is due to incorporate built-in cameras.

This advanced version should also provide translation tools, ChatGPT support, and other intelligent functions, though further hardware specifics remain undisclosed.

No photographs showing either prototype have leaked publicly.

whodathunk. Nothing is launching1) audio equipped "smart glasses" soon. working as an audio player, auto tinting photocromic lenses, can take calls and interact with the voice assistant on your phone.2) camera equipped "smart glasses". same as above but with a camera, ChatGPT, translation, more.

Second Model Focuses on Audio

The company is simultaneously creating a simpler audio-centric eyewear model containing built-in speakers and microphones.

Wearers will stream music and audiobooks in a manner similar to traditional headphones, while the microphones will enable communication with a phone voice assistant and phone calls.

This simpler device will join Nothing's current selection of audio gear and headphones.

Both Could Get Photochromic Lenses

Both product variants are anticipated to feature auto-tinting photochromic lenses that darken outdoors under bright sunlight and clear up indoors.

Release dates, retail pricing, and additional technical specifications are still unannounced.

This development arrives as the manufacturer branches out into new device categories, following the recent launch of fresh Bluetooth speakers under its CMF sub-brand earlier in the week.
