Pakistan and the Maldives reached an agreement to broaden cooperation across tourism, healthcare, and education to deepen bilateral ties and build fresh opportunities for citizens during Maldivian President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's three-day state visit to Pakistan, where the nations sealed 20 pacts and memorandums of understanding spanning health, education, tourism, agriculture, fisheries, information technology, youth development, and defense.

President Muizzu stated that the pacts would create fresh paths for collaboration and make bilateral ties more active and advantageous for citizens in both nations.

Discussions on healthcare focused on broadening chances for Maldivian students and medical experts, such as raising MBBS slots through Pakistan's Technical Assistance Program and investigating internship options inside Pakistan for medical graduates from the Maldives.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif pointed out Pakistan's medical support in the Maldives, noting that roughly 250 Pakistani doctors and various paramedics currently work there, and stated that Pakistan stands prepared to send extra professionals to satisfy medical requirements.

Education took a major role in the talks, building on Pakistan's history of providing scholarships, training sessions, and placements for Maldivian learners, sports competitors, trainers, and young experts, while both governments decided to grow youth exchanges and joint work in skills training, business creation, innovation, and leadership.
