Citizens across Pakistan are now able to report cybercrimes by dialing Police Helpline 15 following the connection of police emergency call networks with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency, also known as NCCIA.
NCCIA Director General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi stated that emergency helpline setups functioning in various provinces and major cities have linked up with the agency to simplify the complaint registration process for the public.
Based on this updated procedure, any cybercrime reports received via Police Helpline 15 get transferred automatically to appropriate NCCIA zones so authorities can take immediate legal action.
This setup permits individuals to notify authorities about cyber harassment, online fraud, data theft, and alternative cyber offenses using current police emergency channels.
Rizvi characterized the network linking as an important development for enhancing public entry to cybercrime complaint channels and guaranteeing that grievances reach proper officials.
The project also works to improve cooperation between law enforcement and the NCCIA, streamline reporting procedures, and guarantee quicker responses toward reported violations.
