Pakistan's Establishment Division has taken steps to move annual performance evaluation reports for federal government officers into a digital format. Initial rollout phases will target personnel belonging to the Pakistan Administrative Service, Police Service of Pakistan, and Office Management Group, alongside other services. The National Information Technology Board provides technical assistance for building this platform, which will function underneath the Human Resource Management Information System framework.
Performance Reviews to Follow New Timelines
Every step of the annual performance evaluation procedure now features a set deadline lasting between 10 and 15 days under this updated framework. Officials state this project works to cut down on backlogs and dependence on paper records, bringing greater efficiency and transparency to evaluations. According to the Establishment Division, handling requests for postings and transfers of officers typically requires seven to 15 days.
Processing disciplinary actions begins within seven days after a case arrives, whereas rules dictate that inquiries against government personnel must wrap up in 60 days. Authorized channels can approve extensions when necessary. Following a finished inquiry, officials may grant an officer a maximum of 14 days to reply to a show cause notice, with rule-based extensions permitted under specific conditions.
