Fifteen junior and senior goalkeepers have begun a seven-day training camp in Islamabad, organized by the Pakistan Hockey Federation to elevate goalkeeping standards across the nation.

Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium hosts the camp, supervised by Dutch coach Bob Veldhof. This marks the first occasion that a foreign specialist goalkeeping coach delivers advanced instruction to chosen players in Pakistan.

Morning and evening drills make up the schedule, concentrating on modern goalkeeping methods, technical proficiency, physical conditioning, and mental assurance that match global benchmarks.

A spokesperson for the Pakistan Hockey Federation stated that the project seeks to fortify the defense of the national team and ready goalkeepers for modern hockey demands.

Defensive difficulties have affected Pakistan hockey squads lately, and officials expect specialized instruction will boost goalkeeping displays and reinforce defensive strength.

The Pakistan Hockey Federation mentioned that this gathering forms part of broader plans to advance hockey locally and back the sport's sustained growth.
