The Pakistani rupee finished higher against the US dollar on Tuesday, marking its 265th consecutive day in positive territory. Advancing by three paisas during the session, the local currency settled at 276.87.

Currency trading received support prior to the closing bell following earlier reports from TRT World that Pakistan plans to enter a major defense agreement with Qatar, Turkey, and Indonesia. The currency has maintained continuous gains against the dollar since December 25, 2025.
