Students and residents in Peshawar now have extra time for reading and studying as the Peshawar Public Library has extended its hours to stay open until midnight.
Dr. Syed Aamir Abdullah, a member of the Education Advisory Council, issued directives that led to this change, which establishes a three-shift operating schedule for the facility.
Authorities are launching these extended hours as a pilot program at the Peshawar Public Library. Officials might roll out this schedule to the other 16 public libraries across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa depending on how well the initial phase goes.
This schedule change provides better access to study spaces and reading materials, especially for individuals getting ready for tests or seeking quiet areas for independent work outside normal daytime hours.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Director of Archives and Libraries published an official notice about the new schedule and instructed staff members and relevant officers to follow the guidelines strictly.
