Lawyers must start wearing gowns again during court sessions starting November 2 as cooler weather arrives, according to the Lahore High Court.
Advocates need to follow the mandated outfit rules when they present cases in court, based on directives released by the Registrar Office of the Lahore High Court.
Authorities are bringing back the gown rule following a brief waiver that was permitted through the warmer months.
Previously, an official order released in March 2026 permitted attorneys to attend court minus gowns beginning March 30. That waiver covered the main campus of the Lahore High Court and all its regional benches.
