Pakistan announced on October 20, 2026 a further cut in fuel prices, aiming to ease the burden on consumers facing higher living costs.

Petrol will now cost Rs. 381.14 per litre after a reduction of Rs. 5.16, while high-speed diesel drops to Rs. 389.27 per litre, a decrease of Rs. 7.69.

The move is expected to bring relief to motorists, transport operators and businesses that depend on fuel for daily activities.

Cheaper diesel could also lower transportation expenses, which may in turn reduce pressure on the prices of essential goods and other commodities.
