Following a private school building collapse in Peshawar at Dir Colony, the Punjab government mandated prompt inspections for all private educational facilities located throughout the province.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif instructed the Education Department to execute these directives, while local government leaders and deputy commissioners received orders to supervise district-level evaluations.
Deputy Commissioner Captain (retd.) Nadeem Nasir told the Municipal Corporation and Education Department chief executive officers in Rawalpindi, together with rescue personnel, to examine private school structures and provide a findings report.
The Municipal Corporation must also supply him with information concerning unsafe and crumbling properties around the city.
Authorities received directions to carefully check private schools to evaluate the structural integrity of their premises.
