Health authorities in Punjab issued a new warning concerning dangerous and fake drugs, labeling certain batches of Librax tablets and Carapamin injection unsafe. Drug inspectors received instructions from officials to check the market right away and pull these specific batches off store shelves.

Sellers caught keeping these identified drugs on the market face legal penalties under the Drug Act, as warned by the department. Health representatives explained that these medications treat mental stress, regulate heart rates, lower blood pressure, and boost blood circulation. Citizens received advice to stop taking the impacted batches because of possible dangers to their health.

In a separate development, the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan released a warning regarding meningitis and seasonal influenza vaccines being sold at higher prices in Faisalabad.

A circular from the authority set the official influenza vaccine price at Rs. 1,304, and the meningitis vaccine price at Rs. 1,356.

DRAP instructed appropriate staff members to pursue severe penalties against anyone participating in black-market sales and overcharging for these vaccines.
