The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has instructed its partner schools to make sure eligible pupils take part in the Chief Minister Punjab Youth Games 2026-27, which carry cash prizes totaling Rs. 500 million.

The Sports Board Punjab has launched the games to spot emerging athletes and boost sports involvement throughout the province. Online registration ends on November 5, 2026.

In a circular, PEF told PEF Partners, PSRP Licensees and NSSE Partner schools to notify students about the events, promote participation and assist them in completing registration before the cut-off.

Students attending middle schools, high schools, colleges and universities may enter. The scheme also includes labor schools, special schools, religious seminaries, TEVTA institutions and non-formal schools.

Competitions will cover 21 sports such as athletics, badminton, basketball, cricket, football, hockey, table tennis, volleyball and wrestling.

The provincial government has set aside Rs. 500 million in cash awards to honour sporting achievement and motivate young athletes to compete.

PEF said its school network would help expand participation, especially for students with limited access to organized sports.

Eligible students can sign up via the official Punjab Youth Games portal, which provides participation requirements and further details.
