Gas services will face a temporary shutdown across several neighborhoods in Rawalpindi and its cantonment on October 18 because of pipeline relocation linked to the Peshawar Road underpass project.

A representative for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited stated that crews need the outage to tie in a portion of the primary gas line for the ongoing infrastructure project.

The service interruption will start at 8:30 pm and last until 6 am on October 18.

Both flanks of Murree Road between Saddar and Faizabad, along with the Peshawar Road corridor stretching from Golra Mor to Saddar, will experience service cuts.

The stoppage also impacts districts situated along Adiala Road and GT Road, alongside Qasim Market, Westridge, and adjacent residential pockets near Peshawar Road.

Utility officials urged residents living in the impacted zones to prepare backup solutions while the service remains offline.

Normal service should return by 6 am on October 18 based on the utility provider's published timetable.
