Samsung is set to introduce its W27 foldable in China on October 29, according to a leaked photograph that reveals a dark blue back panel with gold trim and the W series gold seal logo.

The picture also displays a triple-camera array and pill-shaped camera island identical to those on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.

The W series delivers upscale versions of Samsung's latest foldables solely in the Chinese market, sold via China Telecom and typically equipped with premium finishes, extra RAM, and larger retail boxes that include extra accessories.

Last year's W26, based on the Galaxy Z Fold7, added satellite calling and messaging through China's Tiantong network and came in 512GB and 1TB variants, each with 16GB of RAM, offered in red and black with gold accents.

The W26 was priced at CNY 16,999 ($2,390) for the base model and CNY 18,999 ($2,670) for the 1TB version. Samsung has not disclosed a price for the W27, but further details are expected around its launch next week.

Because the W27 appears to share hardware with the Z Fold8 Ultra, it may use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, an 8-inch foldable screen and a 6.5-inch cover display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Other likely specs include a 200MP main camera and a 5,000 mAh battery, matching the Ultra's configuration. Samsung has not officially confirmed these components.

The Z Fold8 Ultra already offers a model with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, and the W27 could follow suit with 16GB RAM as standard. Pricing and exact availability remain undisclosed ahead of the October 29 unveiling.
