Allegations of tampering with the Class XII results of the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Hyderabad have led to an official probe, with the Sindh government suspending a senior board official and creating a three-member committee to examine possible irregularities in the pre-medical and pre-engineering streams.

Ijaz Ali Kaka, Deputy Controller of BISE's Top Secret Branch, was suspended on orders from Provincial Minister for Universities and Boards Ismail Rahoo after accusations spread on social media, prompting a review of the 2026 annual exam results.

The inquiry panel, led by Sindh University of Business Administration and Economics (SIBA) Jamshoro Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Arbeela Bhutto, has been instructed to present its report to the provincial minister within 30 days.

Notifications from the Universities and Boards Department state that the probe seeks to establish facts, assign responsibility, and identify any officials or staff involved in the alleged misconduct. The suspension will stay in place until the inquiry ends and further orders are issued.

Other members of the committee are Additional Secretary of the Universities and Boards Department Amir Fazal Owaisi and Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro Registrar Dr Nasrullah Pirzada.

The panel will review the 2026 Class XII annual results, focusing on position holders, the top-10 candidates, and students who earned A-1 and A grades in the pre-medical and pre-engineering groups.
