Tecno has added two models to its Spark 50 collection, introducing the Spark 50s and Spark 50C. The Spark 50s joins existing variants like the Spark 50 4G, Spark 50 5G, and Spark 50 Pro, whereas the Spark 50C arrived as an unexpected addition to the lineup.
FreeLink 2.0 serves as a primary feature on these devices, enabling calls and text messages without cellular or Wi-Fi coverage across a distance reaching up to 1.5km. This peer-to-peer technology operates exclusively on selected Tecno smartphones.
Design and Display
Both smartphones come equipped with 6.78-inch HD+ LCD screens that support 120Hz refresh rates. The Spark 50s features a centered punch-hole for the selfie camera, an IP64 Pro rating, and MIL-STD-810H certification, available in Breeze Blue and Burgundy Red.
Users can operate the Spark 50C even with wet or oily hands. It features higher IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water protection, and sells in Burgundy Red, Forge Orange, Basalt Titanium, and Eclipse Black.
Internals and Software
The MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor powers the Spark 50s, running Android 16-based HiOS 16. It offers options of 6GB or 8GB of RAM alongside 128GB of storage, plus a dedicated microSD card slot allowing expansion up to 2TB. Additional hardware includes a side-mounted fingerprint reader, all-scenario noise cancellation, and off-grid communication capabilities.
Operating as a 4G device, the Spark 50C runs on a MediaTek Helio G81 chip with Android 16, 4GB of RAM, and storage choices reaching up to 256GB. It also features dual stereo speakers, AI call noise cancellation, and an IR blaster.
Cameras
A single 50MP rear camera accompanied by an LED flash sits on the back of the Spark 50s, while an 8MP sensor manages selfies and video calls. Meanwhile, the Spark 50C uses a 13MP main camera and an 8MP front-facing camera.
Battery and Pricing
A 6,500mAh battery powering the Spark 50s supports 45W fast charging, reverse wired charging, and bypass charging. The 6GB plus 128GB version costs approximately $211, and the 8GB plus 128GB variant retails for around $242.
The Spark 50C includes a 5,200mAh battery with 15W fast charging and comes in 4GB plus 64GB, 4GB plus 128GB, and 4GB plus 256GB configurations. Tecno has not yet revealed pricing or release details for the Spark 50C.
