ZTE Unveils Updated nubia A76 4G With Larger Screen and Faster Charging

ZTE has quietly released a new nubia A76 4G smartphone, distinct from the earlier model bearing the same name, adding to its A75, A76 and A77 4G lineup. The device features a larger 6.75-inch 90 Hz display, a 5,000 mAh battery with 22.5 W wired charging and a 50 MP triple-camera array, but it does not support 5G.

Design and Display

The refreshed nubia A76 4G comes with a 6.75-inch IPS LCD panel offering 720 × 1612 resolution, a 90 Hz refresh rate and up to 500 nits of brightness. This screen is bigger and faster than the older model's 6.5-inch 60 Hz panel.

ZTE describes the look as "flagship-inspired," featuring a full-width camera module on the back. The styling and specs match those of the previously launched ZTE Blade A76 4G. Available colours are Carbon Black, Polar Grey and Sand Gold.

Internals and Software

The phone runs on an unnamed chipset with an octa-core CPU that can reach 1.8 GHz. ZTE advertises 4.5G connectivity, though it has not disclosed the exact standard or speed figures. No 5G capability is included.

Cameras

On the rear, the device houses a 50 MP main sensor as part of a triple-camera setup, while details on the other two lenses remain unknown. An 8 MP front-facing camera is also provided.

Battery and Pricing

A 5,000 mAh battery powers the phone, and it supports 22.5 W wired charging, an improvement over the older A76's 10 W charging. The model earned an A rating in the EU energy-efficiency test.

ZTE has not announced an official price or launch date, but the nearly identical Blade A76 4G is listed at about $169. The new nubia-branded version has yet to appear at major retailers or carriers.
