Edifier has introduced the We-Bass, a clip-on open-ear wireless earbud set at about $60 in China.
The device pairs a flexible ear-wrapping frame with 12mm drivers, AI functions, Bluetooth 6.1 and up to 20 hours of total battery time.
DeepSeek AI Features
The We-Bass works with both DeepSeek and Doubao AI models to provide real-time voice assistance.
It also supports translation in 21 languages, offering face-to-face and side-by-side modes.
For phone calls, the earbuds employ AI-driven noise reduction and a wind-detection algorithm, which Edifier says can cut wind noise at speeds up to 28 km/h.
Design and Durability
A flexible nickel-titanium alloy wire wraps around the outer ear.
Edifier claims the wire endured more than 10,000 bending cycles while keeping its shape.
The earbuds are offered in Wave White with matte and metallic finishes.
They carry an IP55 rating for dust and water protection, and the companion app includes a water-ejection feature to clear moisture from the speaker grilles.
Audio
The We-Bass is equipped with 12mm long-stroke dynamic drivers.
Because open-ear earbuds lack an ear-canal seal, Edifier uses a dynamic bass compensation algorithm to adjust low-frequency output in real time.
A dedicated acoustic chamber directs sound toward the ear canal to limit audio leakage.
Bluetooth 6.1 and Gaming Mode
Bluetooth 6.1 enables simultaneous connection to two devices via multipoint.
A gaming mode reduces latency to roughly 50 ms.
Battery and Price
The earbuds provide about five hours of playback, with the charging case adding another 15 hours for a total of 20 hours.
Pricing is set at 399 yuan in China, approximately $60.
