Former adult film actress Lana Rhoades stated that the business consists of a group of extremely young girls, and producers prefer them to be as young as possible. She mentioned that she appeared like a small child when she began, and that factor drives sales.
During a video clip posted by RT on X, Rhoades explained that whenever the camera positioned itself behind her without showing her face, she experienced gagging or crying. She felt repulsed by certain co-stars assigned to her because actors lack the ability to select their colleagues.
She mentioned that specific scenes felt like assault to her because she had no desire to participate, yet she remained quiet in order to maintain a professional appearance.
Says the Industry Favors Very Young Women
She mentioned further that numerous women, such as her friends, struggle with expressing refusal.
She connected this behavior to the upbringing of girls to follow instructions, noting that many face pressure from agents who lack proper concern for their welfare.
A Short Career and Years of Criticism
Rhoades, whose legal name is Amara Maple, started working in adult films during 2016 when she was 19 years old, quitting approximately eight months later. Since then, she transformed into one of its loudest detractors.
Speaking on her 3 Girls 1 Kitchen podcast earlier, she shared that three up to five scenes proved genuinely traumatic for her, serving as the primary cause for her departure. She also expressed a desire to erase her past videos if possible, though she lacks ownership rights for many of them.
The conversation surrounding adult material reached Pakistan too, where the PTA documented more than 20 million daily requests to view adult websites. Meanwhile, Ukraine evaluates the legalization of adult content production to generate funds for its conflict against Russia.
