A husband, wife, and their three children passed away under mysterious conditions in Greater Noida, located in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, allegedly following a meal of noodles.
While the fatalities caused alarm, police and investigators have not yet verified any link between the consumed noodles and the deaths.
Indian media outlets reported that food safety inspectors examined packaging from food and beverages used by the household.
Food Safety Officer O P Singh stated that inspectors discovered no expired items or suspicious contents during their review.
He noted that officials checked all consumed food products, though preliminary tests revealed nothing to account for the fatalities. Singh also pointed out that food poisoning generally brings on symptoms like vomiting and diarrhea.
Since the inspection failed to identify anything unusual in the food, a food safety officer raised the possibility that an outside party may have poisoned the household.
Nonetheless, officials have not confirmed this theory as the official cause of death. Ongoing probes aim to uncover what killed the couple and their three children.
