Islamabad Capital Territory Police Announce 790 Vacancies for Dolphin Force

Islamabad Capital Territory Police have announced 790 vacancies in the Dolphin Force and invited applications from eligible male and female candidates across Pakistan. The recruitment advertisement was issued by the Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control, opening paths for employment within federal law enforcement.

The openings cover three distinct ranks, structured to strengthen operational response times and street patrolling capabilities within the capital. Appointments will follow official provincial and regional quotas announced by the Federal Government to ensure representation from all regions.

Breakdown of Islamabad Police Vacancies and Ranks

The available positions are divided among three specific tiers within the police hierarchy. Candidates can apply for roles matching their academic credentials and professional background.

The vacancies include 2 posts of Sub-Inspector (BS-14), 38 posts of Assistant Sub-Inspector (BS-11) and 750 posts of Constable (BS-07). The vast majority of the openings are concentrated at the Constable level, reflecting the operational needs of the Dolphin Force patrolling units.

Educational Qualifications Required for ICT Police Jobs

Applicants must meet strict educational standards set by the department for each rank. These requirements ensure candidates possess the necessary analytical and communication skills for police work.

Sub-Inspector applicants must hold a second-class or Grade C bachelor's degree (two years), an Associate Degree or BS (four years), or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Higher Education Commission.

Assistant Sub-Inspector applicants must hold a second-class or Grade C BA, BSc or post-intermediate Associate Degree from an HEC-recognised university. Constable applicants must have passed matriculation from a recognised board, setting the minimum school education benchmark for entry-level officers.

Age Limits and Relaxation Rules for Applicants

Age restrictions apply to maintain a physically active and dynamic force capable of handling demanding patrol duties. Candidates must verify their age before submitting paperwork.

The age limit for all three posts is 18 to 25 years. An upper-age relaxation of five years applies under Federal Government rules, offering wider eligibility for qualified individuals.

Physical Standards and Endurance Tests

Physical fitness forms a core component of the selection criteria for the Dolphin Force. Candidates must pass both body measurement checks and rigorous stamina trials.

Male candidates must be at least 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a chest measurement of 33 to 34.5 inches. Female candidates must be at least 5 feet 2 inches tall.

All candidates must have 6/6 vision, with or without glasses, and near vision not below J-1. Medical examiners will test visual acuity during the preliminary screening phases.

Male candidates must complete a 1.6-kilometre run within seven minutes. Female candidates must complete the same distance within 10 minutes to prove their endurance.

Candidates who meet the criteria can apply through the application procedure provided by ICT Police. Applications are to be submitted online before November 15.
