itel City 300 5G Offers Low-Cost 5G with Android Go

itel has introduced the City 300 5G, a low-priced smartphone that targets affordable 5G access, smooth visual performance and long-lasting battery life. The device runs Android 16 Go Edition and comes with few preinstalled apps.

Design and Display

The City 300 5G sports a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel delivering 1600 × 720 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 240 Hz touch sampling rate. The screen features a punch-hole cutout and 2.5D glass. At 8.4 mm thick, it remains relatively slim for its price class and is offered in Dark Ruby.

Internals and Software

Power comes from a Unisoc T8200 octa-core processor paired with 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The handset supports ten 5G bands and NR carrier aggregation technology. itel also adds its UltraLink feature, which the company says enables free calling connectivity. Android 16 Go Edition runs on the phone, providing a lightweight, bloatware-free interface.

Cameras

Photography is handled by a 13 MP autofocus rear sensor, while an 8 MP front camera manages selfies and video calls. Security options include a side-mounted fingerprint reader and face unlock.

Battery and Pricing

A 5,000 mAh battery powers the device, charging through a USB-C port with a supplied 10 W charger. The phone retails for roughly $160, positioning it in the entry-level 5G market with a high-refresh display, large battery and streamlined Android software.
