Jinnah Hospital in Karachi admitted a 70-year-old man from Baldia Town in critical condition, with health officials suspecting rabies.

Sources said a dog had bitten the patient on his left hand and foot roughly 20 days before his hospital admission, and that he did not receive an anti-rabies vaccine after the incident.

The man also suffers from hepatitis C, and his condition was described as critical upon arrival at the hospital.

While rabies is suspected based on his symptoms, no definitive diagnosis has been confirmed, and details on specific signs, tests, or treatment have not been released.

It remains unclear why the patient did not get vaccinated after the bite or whether he sought any medical care prior to being taken to Jinnah Hospital.
