Thirty-five female primary school teachers in Dera Ismail Khan lost their jobs on orders from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department after officials ruled their appointment letters were fraudulent. Education authorities also demanded the full repayment of all wages distributed to these individuals.
District Education Officer Syeda Anjum released a notification explaining that officials failed to authenticate the teaching credentials, service histories, and assigned work locations for the group. Because of this failure, the original hiring orders were voided starting from their initial issuance dates.
Officials stated that the educators secured their public sector positions through counterfeit paperwork. Staff members received instructions to calculate the total compensation given to the teachers, collect the funds, and deposit the money back into the state treasury.
The official directive additionally instructed personnel to begin processes for filing criminal cases against the educators. Additional legal steps will follow regarding the fraudulent hiring and the disbursement of state money.
