Faisalabad authorities took a suspect into custody on allegations of cheating citizens via a TikTok profile promoting Saudi Arabian work visas, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency reported.

Officials stated they filed formal charges against the individual, noting the suspect relied on fake paperwork and moved illicit funds into bank accounts alongside accomplices.

The raid yielded two mobile devices, 10 fraudulent SIM cards, an Easypaisa account, and a suspected merchant account, based on statements from the NCCIA.

NCCIA Director General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi cautioned that the department will pursue firm legal measures against individuals exploiting social media platforms to trick people with fake jobs abroad and visa deals. He advised citizens to check visa validity prior to sending funds and to notify authorities about suspicious online profiles.

Agency figures show that financial scams made up 48% of total cybercrime grievances filed with the NCCIA in 2026.
