The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has coordinated its domestic cricket timetable with the Pakistan Super League (PSL) pre-season schedule, aiming to give rising players a straightforward route into franchise cricket.
Both the National T20 Gold and National T20 Silver competitions will act as the main talent-spotting platforms before the PSL 12 Player Auction, which is set for January 23, 2027.
Through these events, top domestic performers can attract direct interest from PSL franchises, and strong showings may also put them on the radar for national team selection.
This step is part of the PCB's broader strategy to reinforce Pakistan's cricket development pipeline by linking local tournaments with the nation's flagship T20 league.
PSL 12 will involve eight franchises and will be contested from March 18 to May 2, 2027, featuring 44 matches across five to six venues.
In parallel, the PSL's player-movement window is already open, allowing direct signings until November 23, 2026. Each franchise may secure one marquee player who did not feature in PSL 10 or PSL 11.
Additional information about the domestic tournaments and the forthcoming PSL auction will be released in the coming weeks.
