On Thursday, the Pakistani rupee (PKR) ended the session higher against the US Dollar (USD), extending its streak to 267 consecutive days of gains.

The currency settled at 276.85, up one paisa from the previous close.

The modest rise appeared to be influenced by the World Bank's recent warning that inflation in Pakistan is expected to climb to 8.2 percent.

Since December 25, 2025, the rupee has consistently posted gains against the dollar.

Other Currencies

The rupee slipped 51 paisas versus the British Pound (GBP).

It advanced 23 paisas against the Australian Dollar (AUD).

It fell 49 paisas against the Euro (EUR) and 46 paisas against the Canadian Dollar (CAD).

Stability was observed against both the UAE Dirham (AED) and the Saudi Riyal (SAR).
