Former Real Madrid player Guti feels that organizers arranged for Harry Kane to win the Ballon d'Or.
During a close vote on Monday night, the England captain beat Real forward Kylian Mbappe and Spanish starlet Lamine Yamal to take the prize.
Last season, Kane netted 73 goals across all competitions, helping Bayern Munich secure a German league and cup double while also leading England to a third-place finish at the World Cup.
Even so, that record did not convince Guti, who questions why the London-born striker claimed the trophy in his home city.
The 49-year-old Spaniard told El Chiringuito that it is suspicious the 70th anniversary ceremony relocated to London and a local player triumphed.
When the interviewer questioned if he believed the outcome was fixed, Guti answered that it was completely true and has been his opinion on the prize for a long time.
He noted that Kane looked shocked when his name was called, adding that the player likely expected Mbappe and Lamine Yamal to place ahead of him.

Organizers announced back in May that the ceremony would leave its traditional home in Paris for a temporary venue in London.
Competitors still had nearly two additional months to make their case before the July 19 deadline, with international journalists instructed to evaluate matches up to that date.
This marks another instance of figures connected to Real Madrid objecting to the Ballon d'Or results.
The entire squad boycotted the 2024 gala after Rodri beat Vinicius Junior to the honor.
Guti was not the only notable figure unhappy with the former Tottenham star taking the prize.
Cameras caught Arsenal legend Andrey Arshavin making a disgusted face in the audience.
Lamine Yamal's uncle also criticized the outcome and took a shot at Kane.
He told Cadena SER that his nephew is the best player globally and that fans attend matches to watch Lamine rather than Harry Kane.
SunSport reached out to France Football, the organizers of the Ballon d'Or, for a response.
At the London Palladium, Kane wore a Rolex watch valued at nearly £1 million.
He and his family continued their celebrations into the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Kane becomes the first Englishman to win the award since Michael Owen in 2001 and Bayern's first winner in 45 years.
