During a Tuesday meeting led by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, the Sindh cabinet reduced the passing score for the Sindh Public Service Commission Combined Competitive Examination screening test from 40 per cent to 33pc, allowing more applicants to qualify for the written portion.

The administration lifted the maximum age restriction for candidates from 30 to 33 years and expanded the allowed testing attempts from three to five.

Authorities will implement computer-based testing for single-paper exams, providing printed scores instantly following completion. Officials will also adjust interview scores to match the Federal Public Service Commission ratio.

A newly formed Cabinet Reforms Committee will create technology and artificial intelligence improvements for the SPSC. The approved package contains protections against punitive measures for test-takers involved in recent demonstrations, plus a system to investigate claims of applicants facing bias during interviews.

Officials stated via press release that these choices broaden applicant prospects and rebuild trust in hiring practices. These actions arrived after test-takers demonstrated against selection methods and testing setups.
