Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) announced that traffic diversions will operate on Khanna Pul and Lehtrar Road starting Monday and will stay in effect until further notice because of ongoing construction, urging motorists to choose other routes to avoid inconvenience.
An ITP official instructed drivers heading to Tramri Chowk, Lehtrar Road and Ali Pur to divert via Faizabad, Rawal Dam Chowk and Park Road.
Likewise, those traveling from Khanna Pul toward the Islamabad Expressway were told to use Ghauri Town Link Road.
The official added that the diversions will continue until further orders to support construction activities and manage traffic in the affected zones.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad told residents to allow an extra 20 to 25 minutes for their trips and to plan accordingly, noting that ITP staff will stay at key points to guide drivers and keep traffic flowing smoothly.
