Uzbekistan Airways will increase its scheduled flights between Tashkent and Islamabad starting on October 26, giving passengers more travel options between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
The Uzbek embassy said the new timetable will see flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, replacing the current twice-weekly service on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
These extra flights are expected to enhance connectivity for tourists, business travelers and transit passengers, while supporting tourism and economic links between the two countries.
According to the embassy, the expanded schedule will make it simpler for Pakistani tourists to travel to Uzbekistan's historic cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, and will also bolster Tashkent's position as a regional transport hub offering more connections to other Central Asian destinations.
More than 20,000 Pakistani tourists visited Uzbekistan in 2025. Nearly 20,000 more arrived during the first nine months of 2026, the embassy noted, underscoring growing tourism links.
Uzbekistan and Pakistan currently operate eight scheduled flights per week, including four between Tashkent and Lahore, two on the Islamabad route and services linking Tashkent with Karachi.
With the added Islamabad service, the total weekly scheduled flights between the two nations will rise to nine, the embassy said.
