Wateen Telecom partnered with StarCharge, a prominent global provider of electric vehicle charging and battery energy storage systems, through a Memorandum of Understanding to drive Pakistan toward clean energy. Adil Rashid, who serves as CEO of Wateen Telecom, and Hongqing Li, CEO of StarCharge, executed the agreement during an event featuring Haroon Akhtar, Adviser to the Prime Minister for Industries and Production, acting as the chief guest.
The collaboration merges StarCharge charging and storage hardware with the capabilities of Wateen in solar energy, systems integration, and nationwide project execution, creating linked electric vehicle charging networks and embedding energy storage into commercial activities. This agreement initiates a joint goal to quicken the shift of Pakistan toward sustainable mobility and stronger energy frameworks.
