Trainer Dan Skelton, age 41, is targeting Grade Two success with Pic D Orhy in the Charlie Hall at Wetherby following a double at Cheltenham on Saturday where he passed the £1million earnings barrier in record time.
The 11-year-old horse transferred to Skelton alongside 10 other runners from owner Johnny de la Hey after leaving Paul Nicholls at the close of last season.
Nicholls previously stated he felt disappointed the 15-time winner did not stay at Ditcheat and called it a shame that de la Hey pulled all 11 horses.
Skelton enters three horses in the £100,000 race, consisting of Pic D Orhy, Doyen Quest, and Riskintheground, and believes the triple-Grade 1 winner can improve on his result from 12 months ago.
Skelton said, "I don't know him all that well, but from what I can tell he is in great form."
He added, "The work that I have asked him to do he has done very enthusiastically."
Skelton also stated, "My feeling is that if you have done the amount of work that he has done then you should be fit. I'm looking forward to going up there with him."
He noted, "He doesn't carry a penalty this year, which is very important I feel."
Furthermore, he said, "With his advancing years, I would like a little advantage, and that is his."
Skelton mentioned, "When you look at his run record, he only has a certain number of runs each year."
He concluded, "Every run he has is sacred, so this is a very important race to him."
Before this race, Take No Chances could secure a Grade 2 victory for Skelton in the bet365 Hurdle after finishing second last year.
Skelton said, "Like we did last year, we ran her at Chepstow first, but I've had this race in mind for her all year."
He added, "She was second in it last year, and she doesn't have a Grade 2 penalty on her back this year, so hopefully that is enough to see her go one better."
