Manchester City star Erling Haaland, 26, surprised supporters by displaying yet another new hairstyle, only two months after removing his signature blonde locks. The Norwegian forward shared his fresh look on Instagram, leaving followers stunned at how fast his hair has grown back following his previous summer transformation.
One confused supporter joked in the comments section, "I need my hair to grow this fast."
Haaland caused a stir on social media back in August when he traded his famous flowing blonde hair, usually worn in a ponytail or man bun, for a military-style buzz cut. The striker documented the haircut on his YouTube channel and published several pictures accompanied by the caption, "Short hair don't care."
His makeover drew amusing responses from prominent football figures, including former Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, who joked, "You're lucky you have hair, I would love to have it!"
Former team-mate Jack Grealish laughed upon seeing the style, telling Haaland, "You look about 10 years old."
Zlatan Ibrahimovic reacted with less enthusiasm, jokingly asking the player if he lost a wager and telling him to block his number. The Swedish veteran previously cautioned Haaland against cutting his hair, stating, "Never cut your hair because the strength is in the hair."
Haaland stated that he wanted a clean slate after Norway advanced to the World Cup quarter-finals. His girlfriend Isabel Haugseng Johansen was initially shocked by the choice before endorsing the new look.
The alteration to his appearance has not hindered his goalscoring form. Haaland has netted nine Premier League goals this season under Enzo Maresca.
