Google announced on Wednesday that its Chrome browser is receiving an artificial intelligence upgrade to improve autofill functions by pulling suggestions directly from user Gmail accounts.
By referencing emails, the browser can propose necessary details such as flight confirmation numbers, membership IDs, tracking information, order numbers, addresses, phone numbers, or credit card numbers.
This new release expands upon Google Personal Intelligence, a system that already lets individuals connect Google Apps to the Gemini artificial intelligence assistant to fetch specific facts and answer complex questions.
Users have the option to turn the enhanced autofill feature on or off within their Chrome settings, just like other Personal Intelligence tools, and Google stated that sensitive data remains encrypted.
Desktop users in the United States, along with individuals using the iOS and Android apps for Gemini in Chrome, are currently receiving this rollout.
