K-Electric has updated its power outage timetable after seeing better bill payment compliance and working to stop power theft, which means several Karachi neighborhoods now face no load-shedding.
According to the company's newest quarterly review, multiple sectors moved from the medium-loss tier down to the low-loss tier, covering neighborhoods in Korangi, Azizabad, Jacob Lines, Ibrahim Hyderi Goth, SITE, and Surjani Town.
Specific locations in Korangi now enjoying changes are Abdullah Shah Noorani Colony, Pak Ittehad Colony, Zaman Town, along with Sectors 48-A, B, C, D, and E. Azizabad locations include Federal B Area Blocks 2 and 8, Bhangoria Goth, Yasinabad Block 9, and Naimat Colony.
Additional neighborhoods entering the low-loss tier consist of Kyani Shaheed, Randle Road, APWA Complex Road, Jubilee Cloth Market, Biltistani Mohalla situated in Jacob Lines, Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai Colony, and Altaf Town.
The power company credited the progress to lower aggregated technical and commercial losses, prompt bill settlements, and cooperation with neighborhood leaders.
At the same time, Saadat Colony, Moria Khan Goth, Soldier Bazar, Tagore Street, Aminabad Society, and Martin Quarters shifted from the high-loss tier to the medium-loss tier, meaning they will face fewer outages. Specific sections of Orangi Town, such as Khawaja Ghareeb Nawaz, Millat Colony, Madina Colony, and Al-Mustafa Colony, also recorded progress.
K-Electric reported that close to 70% of its coverage zone, encompassing over 2,100 feeders, stays free from load-shedding. The updated timetable applies right away and is accessible via the utility website, the KE Live App, and the WhatsApp platform. The prior review occurred in July 2026.
