MOL Pakistan Oil and Gas Company B.V. funded a Hungarian Day gathering organized by the Hungarian Embassy in Pakistan to honor Hungary's National Day. Diplomats, joint-venture partners, government officials and other dignitaries attended to recall the 1956 revolution and boost friendship between the two nations.
The night ended with Hungarian art and culture on display, highlighted by folk dancers who traveled from Hungary for the performance.
The occasion underscored both countries' dedication to dialogue and partnership. By backing the embassy's diplomatic work, MOL Pakistan seeks to reinforce bilateral ties and maintain its reputation as a responsible corporate citizen in both lands.
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the chief guest, said: "Pakistan and Hungary share a friendship built on mutual respect and a desire to work together. We appreciate the Embassy of Hungary for organizing this event, and we value the role of companies like MOL Pakistan, which contribute to our economy and to our communities while helping bring our two countries closer."
Hungarian ambassador to Pakistan Dr. Zoltan Varga welcomed attendees, noting the long-standing bilateral relationship that is expanding across several sectors, especially energy and education, and expressed hope for further cooperation.
CEO of MOL Pakistan Mr. Matić Saša remarked: "Hungary's National Day is an occasion of great pride for all of us at MOL, and we are honored to celebrate it together with the Embassy of Hungary. Celebrations such as National Days cement understanding between people and nations, and we are pleased to play a part in bringing Hungarian heritage and traditions closer to our friends and partners in Pakistan."
Regional Vice President of MOL Group Mr. Ali Murtaza Abbas added: "As a Hungarian company that has made Pakistan its operational home, MOL views itself as a bridge, bringing Hungarian expertise and standards to Pakistan and showing Hungary the potential of Pakistan as a place to invest and grow. Hungarian Day is a welcome opportunity to strengthen that bridge together with the Embassy."
MOL Pakistan, wholly owned by the Hungary-based MOL Group, has operated in the country since 1999, holding stakes in several exploration and production blocks, including the TAL and Margalla blocks. The firm continues its commitment to sustainable community development through projects in health, education, infrastructure and youth-focused programs across its operating areas.
