OnePlus has started delivering the stable ColorOS 17 update to OnePlus 15 devices in India, using build CPH2745_17.0.0.102(EX01) and arriving before the company's announced timeline.

The rollout follows the July notice that eligible phones would transition from OxygenOS to ColorOS with Android 17 across all regions, but the stable version is currently only in India with no set date for other markets.

ColorOS 17 brings a refreshed interface featuring new lighting effects, smoother animations and a Luminous Rendering Engine. It also updates the lock screen, quick settings and notification drawer.

OnePlus has improved its Laminar Flow Engine to cut lag during high memory use, aiming to keep key apps active in the background for better performance.

The update adds several AI capabilities: Mind Pilot now has an Agent mode that can manage complex tasks such as organizing photos and files; OSee AI gains document-scanning; and a new Translate app expands translation functions.

Additional AI-driven features include face-swap detection on video calls, voice detection for scam calls, and the ability to play audio from multiple apps at once. The full change list is in the official changelog.

According to OnePlus's global rollout plan, the OnePlus 15 was slated for October 29, making the Indian release a few days early. The company has not yet said when the stable update will reach users outside India, so the rollout remains limited to Indian owners.
