Security and monitoring across Peshawar will receive an upgrade as the Peshawar Safe City Project incorporates drone and anti-drone technology directly into its central command system.
Police officials stated that this marks the initial instance in Pakistan where a Safe City project has connected both a drone unit and an anti-drone mechanism.
A radar range of five kilometers allows the anti-drone system to spot and track unauthorized aircraft. Whenever the equipment identifies suspicious drone operations, it triggers automated alerts sent straight to the Safe City control room.
Authorities will use this new integration for continuous aerial monitoring of critical sites, daily traffic, and unlawful behavior, assisting personnel in recognizing potential terrorist and security dangers.
Law enforcement representatives mentioned that the drone monitoring network will function across Peshawar, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, and Lakki Marwat.
Real-time video streams from the Safe City drones give commanders the ability to watch field missions as they happen. Furthermore, the setup offers operational backing to the Counter Terrorism Department, according to officials.
