Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif opened a major transport infrastructure project in Mandi Bahauddin to enhance regional connectivity throughout the province.

During her trip to Mandi Bahauddin, the chief minister reached King Chowk, where Provincial Minister for Communications and Works Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharth delivered an in-depth briefing regarding the Gujrat–Sargodha Road project.

Carrying an estimated price tag of Rs. 9.8 billion, the undertaking entails building and repairing roughly 94.30 kilometers of roadway. The briefing noted that the project seeks to upgrade travel conditions, simplify transportation, and deliver improved road facilities to local inhabitants living nearby.

This Gujrat–Sargodha Road initiative forms part of the ongoing infrastructure efforts by the Punjab government, which focus on building and fixing roads to strengthen regional connections.

The work should allow commuters to experience easier journeys and better link communities situated along the path.
