Riphah International University completed a productive visit to the Maldives as part of its ongoing internationalisation efforts, creating new paths for cross-border educational cooperation.
The main academic achievement of the trip involved co-hosting the Boutique International Conference on Medical Education, known as ICME 2026, alongside Maldives National University.
Alongside the conference, the group attended key diplomatic and institutional meetings. Pakistan High Commissioner to Maldives Admiral (Retd.) Faisal Rasul Lodhi held a breakfast reception for the delegation, and Villa College organized a formal dinner at Hulhule Island Hotel.
Talks between the visiting delegation and Villa College leaders focused on potential joint research, academic exchanges, student and faculty mobility, micro-credential programmes, and institutional partnerships.
These meetings reflect Riphah's goal of establishing a globally linked academic network and forming valuable paths for international teamwork.
