Canelo Alvarez fights for the WBC super-middleweight championship this Saturday against current titleholder Christian Mbilli in Saudi Arabia. The Mexican star previously held the green and gold belt after defeating Callum Smith in 2020. American star Terence Crawford took the title in a winner-takes-all undisputed bout in September last year. Twelve months later, Canelo gets an opportunity for the super-middleweight crown at the top of a major card in Saudi. He faces undefeated French fighter Mbilli, who received Crawford's belt after Crawford retired unexpectedly on December 17, 2025.
